From The Field
Saleh Abalkhail - Benin
During the distribution of food aid on one of my relief trips to the Republic of Benin, I found beneficiaries sheltering under what was left of the walls of their homes which had been destroyed by the floods. Despite their suffering, the smiles did not leave their faces as they welcomed us and cheered our arrival.
When we see the suffering of the beneficiaries and witness their needs firsthand, we feel a greater sense of the importance of humanitarian work, which motivates us to do our best to do good.
