King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) recently concluded its active participation in the first annual Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Festival, entitled: “One nation, diverse cultures...Palestine is in our heart.” The event was held at the Cairo Opera House from 5-9 February 2019. For its contribution to the event, KSrelief organized a display gallery to showcase the many global humanitarian and relief projects it has implemented to help those in need in 42 countries.
KSrelief’s work was presented through posters, videos and other visual media, and brochures and booklets on the center were available to the public. Some of the projects featured in the center’s exhibit included information about some of its key programs in Yemen, including: the Child Soldiers Rehabilitation Program; the Artificial Limbs Centers in Ma’rib and Aden; and the Kingdom’s “MASAM” demining program.
Also featured was information about the center’s work to help the displaced Rohingya minority in Myanmar and to provide assistance for Rohingya refugees living in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, and in Malaysia. KSrelief’s work to assist Syrian IDPs and refugees was also highlighted. The gallery attracted many visitors, many of whom expressed their admiration for the Kingdom’s dedication to alleviating the suffering of all in need.
KSrelief also organized a seminar on the Kingdom’s worldwide humanitarian and relief efforts.
