KSrelief Rehabilitates the building of Rawdat Al Manar School for Deaf Children in Yemen

ADEN, YEMEN: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) recently rehabilitated the building of Rawdat Al Manar School for Deaf Children runs by the Deaf Care and Rehabilitation Society in Mansoura district of Aden Governorate, Yemen. The project is part of a larger KSrelief initiative, “Institutional Capacity Building Project for Governmental Centers and Schools Working in the Fields of Education for Literacy for Students and People with Disabilities”. 

The rehabilitation process included renovating the school building, equipping classrooms with new desks, and providing school supplies and office equipment like computers. Other activities were held during the project such as individual treatment sessions for deaf children, building the capacities of teachers and implementing awareness campaigns. 

The Adviser to the Governor of Aden, Abdul Hakim Al Shaabi, thanked KSrelief for its efforts in the rehabilitation of Rawdat Al Manar School for Deaf Children. 

Osama Bagadi, the Director of the Institutional Capacity Building Project for Literacy for Students and People with Disabilities, confirmed that this comes from the standpoint of responsibility towards the deaf people. He explained that the project will have a tangible impact on developing the capabilities of the target audience. 

KSrelief has implemented more than 700 impartial, multisectoral humanitarian initiatives across Yemen, providing vital assistance to millions of people in need throughout the country.
