KSrelief Exhibition in UNGA Highlights KSA’s Humanitarian Efforts

NEW YORK, USA: As part of its contribution to the activities surrounding the recent 74th session the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at UN headquarters in New York, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) held an exhibition, entitled “Saudi Arabia’s Efforts for Refugees Around the World. The purpose of the exhibit was to highlight KSrelief’s work on behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate the suffering of people in need globally.  

Visitors to the exhibition included Ibrahim Al Assaf, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adel Al Jubeir, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Al Hadhrami, Yemen's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdallah Yahya Al Mouallimi, Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the UN, Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Pierre Krähenbühl, UNRWA Commissioner-General, a number of ministers from participating countries, and other officials from UN and international organizations.

The one-week exhibition included a transparent screen display showcasing the various sectors in which KSrelief works. A large, five-by-three-meter interactive wall screen featured a map of the world showing the 44 beneficiary countries served by KSrelief; visitors could click on each country to learn more about the center's work there.

A 75-inch interactive screen enabled visitors to learn more about the center's qualitative and sustainable projects while browsing the center's website and volunteer platforms. The public could also choose to make online donations at the exhibit using the Saudi Aid Platform to support projects and countries served by KSrelief; this platform not only accepts donations, but also provides viewers with accurate and reliable information about all of the Kingdom’s foreign aid, and includes some human interest stories inspired by the programs.
