KSrelief Supervisor General Meets with the Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Sudan
PARIS,
FRANCE: Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre
(KSrelief), Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, met with the United Nations Resident and
Humanitarian Coordinator for Sudan, Clementine Salami, on the sidelines of the
International Humanitarian Conference for Sudan and Neighboring Countries,
organized by France and the European Union in Paris, France.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed topics of
common concerns related to humanitarian and relief affairs, developments in
humanitarian action in Sudan, and other prominent topics discussed in the
conference.
Dr. Al Rabeeah shared during the meeting the relief
and humanitarian efforts undertaken by the Kingdom through KSrelief, noting
that 13 relief planes and four relief ships were sent to Sudan and 43
humanitarian projects were implemented, including, sending out 20 volunteer
medical teams to Sudan; KSrelief projects in Sudan and neighboring countries in
partnership with the United Nations, international and local organizations has
exceeded USD 60 million.
Salami then showed her appreciation for the Kingdom's
humanitarian and relief efforts, undertaken by KSrelief, in supporting the
people of Sudan, and expressed her aspiration for joint bilateral cooperation
in support of the humanitarian work in Sudan.
