Establishment
The speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, at the founding ceremony of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre
In the Name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful, and peace be upon God’s Prophet.
May the peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you all
we hereby announce the establishment of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, dedicated to coordinating and providing international relief to crisis-afflicted communities, alleviating suffering and providing the essentials to allow people everywhere to live good lives.
We are allocating the sum of one billion Saudi Riyals to support the center’s relief and humanitarian efforts. This amount is additional to the one billion Saudi Riyals previously allocated to meet the relief and humanitarian needs of the Yemeni people.
Dear brothers,
Our primary goal is to operate this center solely on the basis of humanitarian need and without any other motive. We will accomplish this goal through close cooperation with fully-accredited international humanitarian relief organizations and other vital support partners.
Our full commitment to “Restoring Hope” to our Yemeni brothers and sisters also gives the center a clear mandate to provide the highest level of attention and care to their humanitarian needs. We ask God to bless you all and grant you prosperity and ask Him to make our efforts successful. May He also preserve security and stability in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the wider Arab and Islamic nation. May God’s peace and blessings be upon you, and may peace prevail all over the world.
