RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: Immediately following yesterday’s devastating explosion at Beirut Port, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) responded to the disaster to help Lebanese medical teams provide emergency assistance on the ground.

KSrelief supports several charitable associations and medical aid teams and facilities in Lebanon, and deployed these resources to aid in the response.  Ambulances operated by the Souboul Al Salam Association and supported by KSrelief, traveled from northern Lebanon to Beirut to assist in transporting wounded blast victims to available medical facilities.

Additionally, a specialized team from Al-Amal Medical Center in Arsal, which is funded by KSrelief, is supporting medical evacuation work, providing ambulance and emergency health care services across Beirut. The Al-Amal Center has also announced a blood donation campaign to meet the extensive blood supplies needed by local hospitals to treat victims of the blast.
