KSrelief Team Discuss Developments of Health Relief Projects in Iraq

BAGHDAD,
IRAQ: In continuation of the efforts of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief
Centre (KSrelief), the center's team visited Iraq to follow up and supervise its
health relief projects.
During
the team's visit, they met with the Iraqi Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Mahdi
Al Hasnawi, in Baghdad, where he briefed the team on KSrelief's support of the
Children's Cancer Hospital in Basra governorate with modern and advanced
medical equipment and medicines to improve the hospital's readiness and its services
to patients.
KSrelief's
project to support Iraq with liquid oxygen and its supplies was also discussed,
as 4,500 oxygen cylinders were delivered to the Iraqi Ministry of Health, which
in turn were distributed to health facilities in various Iraqi governorates.
The
team was also briefed on the delivery of sites and the completion of
pre-installation work for oxygen tanks which are expected to arrive in Iraq
within the next month, as well as facilitating the work of implementing a
company approved by KSrelief and discussing the resumption of the supply of
liquid oxygen to Iraq health facilities from Saudi Arabia to meet the needs of people
in Iraq.
